The Story
The New Balance 1890 is a new hybrid model referencing 2010s performance runners, much in the same its predecessors, the 2002R and 1906R, did.
Combining the upper of the 890v3 with the sole of the 2002, this design creates a striking look in its technical combination of mesh, welded panelling and visible technology. The latter refers to the full-length ABZORB midsole, which was relatively inaccessible back in the day but is now ready to be enjoyed by all. It’s unmistakably a New Balance shoe with performance branding throughout and the model number emblazoned on the heel counter.
