The Story
adidas and BAPE continue their collaborative exploits in commemoration of the incoming FIFA World Cup 2006 with another co-branded Samba.
The football tie-in shares insignia from both brands: adidas’ three stripes and BAPE’s STA logo sit on asymmetrical sides. This time the branding is coloured green to signify the grassy fields the Samba originated on – but the average Joe and Joan will probably see it as a nod to matcha. Other trademarks of the Samba x BAPE are reprised from previous efforts, including the extended tongue, T-toe embellishment and goldfoil wordmarks.
